TEMPORARY TO PERMEMENT POSISTION

We are seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant to join our team. This role involves managing various financial administrative tasks, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial operations, and providing support to staff on financial matters.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Complete operational routines related to orders, invoices, cheques, income, payroll, and expenses.
  • Handle the receipt and distribution of goods and services, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
  • Reconcile invoices against purchase orders, statements, and payments to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Process credit card transactions and invoices efficiently.
  • Provide assistance to staff regarding financial issues such as placing orders and advising on best value.
  • Resolve supplier or order queries promptly to maintain smooth operational flow.
  • Utilise the Finance Management Information System (MIS) effectively to ensure data accuracy.
  • Under the guidance of the Finance Officer, provide training to colleagues on finance administrative tasks.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts by ensuring timely processing of invoices and correct transaction posting.
  • Post journal entries including internal charges, credit card expenditure, and printing costs.
  • Bank any cash income as required.
  • Provide transactional support to the catering provision within the organisation.
  • Uphold the organisation’s Code of Conduct, collaborating effectively with colleagues and clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in financial administration or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes including invoicing, payroll, and expense management.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and management information systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to assist and train staff on financial matters.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Ability to act within the organisation’s ethical guidelines and collaborate effectively with team members.
