Role Overview:

As an English teacher, you will play a key role in inspiring and educating students in the intricacies of the English language and literature. You will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that cater to a range of learning styles, fostering a love for literature and language among their students. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the academic and personal development of young minds and make a lasting impact within their school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters a passion for English language and literature.
  • Assess student progress through regular formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons in accordance with the national curriculum, ensuring progression and differentiation to meet the needs of all students.
  • Establish positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, maintaining open communication to support the holistic development of each student.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in English or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level, with a track record of delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • A passion for English language and literature, coupled with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
