The ideal candidate is not only knowledgeable about history but also enthusiastic about making historical studies accessible and engaging for students with diverse abilities.

History Teacher Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and comprehensive history lessons aligned with the school's curriculum standards, ensuring that students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges.
• Implement differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to succeed.
• Utilise innovative teaching methods, incorporating technology and real-world examples to make history relevant and captivating for students.
• Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respectful behaviour and encourages a love for history among students.

History Teacher Qualifications And Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in history or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus.
• PGCE/QTS/QTLS
• Proven experience teaching History at the secondary level is preferred, not mandatory.
• Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school’s curriculum.
