About the Role:

As a Secondary History Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching History to key stage 3 and 4 (KS5 if able) within your classroom. The role consists of supporting the pupils and furthering their knowledge in an exciting and interesting way in the subject of History.

Your duties will typically include lesson planning (in line with the curriculum), Behaviour Management, Assessing and marking, strong communication skills with parents, staff and pupils and pupil support.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have recent experience as a History Teacher
  • Hold a degree and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), although unqualified teachers may also be considered
  • Demonstrate a commitment individual support and group support.
  • Display confidence and patience towards different environments and situations.
  • Have effective classroom management skills.
  • Deliver lessons in an engaging and enticing way for the pupils.
