What You’ll Be Doing

As a Category Executive, you will:

  • Support category development - Ensure the catering supplies range is up-to-date, competitive, and aligned with market trends.
  • Coordinate new product launches - Work with suppliers, marketing, and sales teams to maximise exposure and sales opportunities.
  • Optimise product performance - Identify slow/zero-selling products and implement action plans to drive sales or exit stock effectively.
  • Maintain product data accuracy - Ensure all product details (barcodes, descriptions, supplier codes) are current and correct in the systems.
  • Resolve supplier & finance queries - Work closely with buyers and finance teams to ensure seamless supplier transactions and issue resolution.
  • Analyse commodity price trends - Monitor pricing movements to support commercial decision-making.

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Commercially aware with an understanding of market trends and supplier management.
  • A strong communicator who can collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Proactive and results-driven, with the ability to work independently.
  • Experienced in category management or a related field (ideally within catering supplies, foodservice, or FMCG)
  • Familiarity with Mintec for commodity price tracking and experience in managing cross-functional relationships is a plus!
