They're looking for a Category Executive to support the growth and maintenance of this dynamic category. What You’ll Be Doing
As a Category Executive, you will:
- Support category development - Ensure the catering supplies range is up-to-date, competitive, and aligned with market trends.
- Coordinate new product launches - Work with suppliers, marketing, and sales teams to maximise exposure and sales opportunities.
- Optimise product performance - Identify slow/zero-selling products and implement action plans to drive sales or exit stock effectively.
- Maintain product data accuracy - Ensure all product details (barcodes, descriptions, supplier codes) are current and correct in the systems.
- Resolve supplier & finance queries - Work closely with buyers and finance teams to ensure seamless supplier transactions and issue resolution.
- Analyse commodity price trends - Monitor pricing movements to support commercial decision-making.
What They're Looking For
They need someone who is:
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Commercially aware with an understanding of market trends and supplier management.
- A strong communicator who can collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proactive and results-driven, with the ability to work independently.
- Experienced in category management or a related field (ideally within catering supplies, foodservice, or FMCG)
- Familiarity with Mintec for commodity price tracking and experience in managing cross-functional relationships is a plus!
