Our client is looking to recruit a Registered Manager based in their new 4Ā bed childrenā€™s home based in Slough.Ā  The companies key focus and approach is centred around Therapeutic Support, Specialised Care Plans and Skill Building Programmes.

Job Purpose

To lead and manage the childrenā€™s home consistent with the approach and ethos of the organisation, delivering outcomes and high-quality care as set out in the homeā€™s statement of purpose.

Service Description

Managing the residential home on a day-to-day basis, ensuring it is compliant in meeting all relevant legislative and contractual requirements, including the health and educational needs of young people.Ā The role of a Registered Manager is the person with overall responsibility of the Childrenā€™s Home and is accountable for the delivery of a high quality of service provision, incorporating care, welfare, safety and security of all children and young people in their care in order for them to achieve a secure base. Ā Supporting, leading and managing a team of staff who will provide protection and support the children with their psychological, emotional & social development.

Person Specification

Qualifications and Education

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young Peopleā€™s Services; or equivalent; or a preparedness to work towards the same.
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuing professional development.

Experience

  • 2 yearsā€™ experience working with children in the last 5 years and at least 1 year at senior level.
  • Supervision or management experience.
  • Working with children, young people and their families.
  • Work in a residential setting.
  • Inter-agency work.
