Key Responsibilities
1. Manage temporary accommodation properties, including void management, lettings, and tenancy management.
2. Ensure compliance with legislation, council policies, and health and safety regulations.
3. Monitor performance of temporary accommodation providers and enforce contracts.
4. Procure new temporary accommodation providers to increase available stock.
5. Manage rent payments, arrears, and debt counseling.
6. Conduct regular inspections to prevent and detect fraud.
7. Address breaches of tenancy conditions, including anti-social behavior.
8. Monitor and visit temporary accommodation tenancies to provide a tenancy management service.
9. Deal with vulnerable tenants and work with police and other agencies to address criminal behavior.
10. Provide a housing service to tenants with special needs and liaise with Social Services and other support agencies.
Requirements
- Working knowledge of legislation and council policies related to temporary accommodation.
- Ability to manage properties, tenancies, and rent payments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with vulnerable tenants and address anti-social behavior.

- Responsible for: Managing temporary accommodation properties and providing a housing service to tenants.
