Our local authority client based in Berkshire are urgently seeking an experienced Temporary Accommodation Recovery Officer.

*Hybrid - 2 days a week on site*

Job Role

  • To conduct sign-ups for existing temporary accommodation placements, ensuring that households have completed a housing benefit form and sign a license agreement.
  • Ensure that both NEC and Jigsaw reflect the current TA placement under the correct duty
  • Conduct suitability assessments on current TA placements
  • Discharging s.188/s.193 duties where appropriate
  • Experience of temporary accommodation placement and/or management is essential
  • Working closely with housing demand, welfare and benefits and TA income
  • Knowledge of safeguarding principles and how this relates in practice
