- Develop and oversee the social care components of the SEND strategy.
- Represent Slough Borough Council at regional and national events, providing expert advice on SEND reforms relating to social care.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships across education, health, and social care.
- Actively engage children, young people, and their families in co-producing solutions and services.
- Ensure seamless integration of social care services into SEND provision.
- Contribute to organisational design and assist Children’s Services in meeting the needs of children, including those with EHC Plans.
- Stay updated on SEND legislation and safeguarding requirements.
- Maintain the highest standards of care and ensure compliance across services.
- Social Work qualified and registered with Social Work England.
- Proven track record in social work, particularly in supporting children and young people with SEND and their families.
- Comprehensive understanding of SEND legislation, EHC Plans, and safeguarding requirements.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with a commitment to co-production.
- Ability to influence at a strategic level and drive improvements in service delivery.
