Support and Family Safeguarding Team

Are you an experienced Qualified Social Worker looking for a new challenge at a senior level? Join our Support and Family Safeguarding Team in Slough and make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable children and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level social work practice and interventions within a support and family safeguarding setting.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families, identifying their needs and risks.
  • Develop and implement effective support plans, ensuring the provision of appropriate services.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, including schools, healthcare professionals, and community organizations.
  • Act as a mentor and resource for less experienced social workers, providing guidance and support.
  • Keep up to date with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.
  • Contribute to case conferences, court proceedings, and other multi-agency meetings.
  • Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping, maintaining confidentiality and data protection.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Social Worker with relevant social work qualification and registration with a professional body.
  • Extensive experience in child protection and family safeguarding, including complex cases.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make evidence-based decisions.
