A leading specialist school in Slough is looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with Autism and other learning needs. The school caters to students aged 3 to 16, offering a therapeutic and supportive environment. Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role as an Autism/Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide emotional and social support to students, fostering a positive and safe environment.
  • Assist students in reaching their learning objectives while helping them build essential life and social skills.
  • Manage and support positive behavioral strategies.
  • Help develop communication through visual aids, speech support, and Makaton.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and on-site therapy teams.
