Windsor Forest College Group is looking for a Learning Support Assistanttojoin the Foundation team at Slough & Langley College on a term-time contract working on a part-time basis.

Learning Support Assistant – Foundation

We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant at our Langley Campus to work with learners in our Foundation Department. This position offers a 22.5 hour working week and requires the candidate to work 37 weeks per year.

Your role will involve providing support to learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to enable them with accessing the curriculum and participating fully in college life.

Working under the direction of the Curriculum Leader for Foundation Department, the responsibility of this role will be to assist with teaching, learning, providing educational and mentoring support for students with SEN, and promoting positive relationships and acceptable behaviour.

The ideal candidate should have a can-do attitude, be able to build rapport with students and staff, have flexibility in working with different students, and be willing to take on new challenges.

The successful Learning Support Assistant – Foundation should have good organizational, administrative, and planning skills, a commitment to the academic and personal development of students with additional needs, good communication skills, and the ability to use initiative and think ahead.
