Learning Care Support Assistant- Slough
The successful candidate would be supporting learners from Nursery to post-16 with MLD, SLD and complex needs.
- Days:Monday to Friday or part time options
- Pay Rate: Hourly rate based on experience
- TERM TIME ONLY
Main duties include:
- To work with students within the classroom supporting the Teacher.
- To support students either on a one to one basis or small groups
- Encourage students to work towards independence
- To assist students with personal care, feeding and administer medication
- To ensure safe travel and support during trips
- To complete formal termly reviews and keep accurate records regarding students' progress
The ideal candiadte:
- Background in SEN, care work or psychology (degree preferred but not essential)
- Stromg behaviour skills
- A child and adult DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one
- Training in medical needs, epilepsy or team teach is a bonus!
