Learning Care Support Assistant- Slough

The successful candidate would be supporting learners from Nursery to post-16 with MLD, SLD and complex needs.

  • Days:Monday to Friday or part time options
  • Pay Rate: Hourly rate based on experience
  • TERM TIME ONLY

Main duties include:

  • To work with students within the classroom supporting the Teacher.
  • To support students either on a one to one basis or small groups
  • Encourage students to work towards independence
  • To assist students with personal care, feeding and administer medication
  • To ensure safe travel and support during trips
  • To complete formal termly reviews and keep accurate records regarding students' progress

The ideal candiadte:

  • Background in SEN, care work or psychology (degree preferred but not essential)
  • Stromg behaviour skills
  • A child and adult DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one
  • Training in medical needs, epilepsy or team teach is a bonus!
