Special Educational Needs Assistant

An outstanding school in Slough are looking for a Special Educational Needs Assistant to join their team starting as soon as possible.

This will be an excellent opportunity for an individual who is looking to broaden their skill-set and add valuable experience to their CV.

The children at this school are children who struggle with learning difficulties. These show up in many forms such as Autism, OCD, Asperger's, Verbal difficulties, dyslexia and so on. This is often brought on or made worse by trauma. These children need an individual who will come in with a positive attitude and a determination to make a difference in their lives.

As a Special Educational Needs Assistant, you will be primarily involved in helping these children in the classroom to manage and cope with their school work. You will be a pillar of support and be there to help them achieve all their goals. You will also have the advantage of being supported by the class teacher during the school day.

Your day to day duties will involve providing support to these children on either a 1:1 basis or in a small group setting. You will help the class teacher set up for lessons, tidy up after and oversee and activities.

The successful Special Educational Needs Assistant will need to be an individual who is determined to make a difference and someone who is really keen and committed to helping the children. This is an extremely rewarding role - one that you definitely do not want to miss out on.

This is a great opportunity for the successful Special Educational Needs Assistant to gain valuable and rewarding experience making an impact whilst also being exposed to a variety of different teaching methods and techniques to help children.
