Location: Arbour Vale School

Working Hours : 37 hours a week, 5 days a week (term time only)

Job Overview

The Pediatric Speech and Language Therapist will work within the school environment to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in children. This role involves collaborating with teachers, parents, and other educational and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized therapy programs that support students’ academic and social success. The therapist will work across a range of ages, from preschool to secondary school, and will focus on enhancing students' communication skills to optimize learning and participation in school activities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assessment and Diagnosis

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication abilities, considering each student's educational, social, and developmental needs.
    • Analyze and interpret results to develop personalized treatment plans in consultation with students, families, and school staff.
    • Use a variety of assessment tools and techniques suited to the school environment and age group.
