Packaging Strategic Sourcing Manager - Exciting Opportunity in the FMCG Industry!

Are you a motivated and experienced Sourcing Manager looking for a new challenge in the FMCG industry? Our client, a global leader in the sector, is seeking a Packaging Strategic Sourcing Manager to join their team. This is an initial 9-month contract, with the potential for future opportunities.

As the Packaging Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading strategic initiatives for Flexible Packaging. You will have the chance to work closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to deliver transformational projects. Your expertise will ensure that our client maintains a competitive edge in value creation, supply security, and sustainability.

What we're looking for:

  • BSc / MSc in business or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of Procurement experience, with 2 years in Flexible Packaging Sourcing
  • Strong leadership capabilities (communication, negotiation, stakeholder management)
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of commodity markets and price mitigation strategies
  • Ability to manage complex business issues and drive change
  • Experience within a worldwide procurement environment, retail / FMCG experience preferred

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Driving value across cost, supply security, and sustainability
  • Analysing spend data and industry dynamics to prioritise sourcing initiatives
  • Developing business cases and should-cost models
  • Managing supplier selection process and executing negotiation strategies
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
  • Identifying and executing material simplification and supply chain efficiency projects
