FRS are recruiting an Accounts Assistant for a business based in Smethwick! There is a very quick start available with this role following a 1 stage interview process. The MD is interviewing candidates ASAP!
You’ll be reporting into the Finance Manager & working alongside one other Accounts Assistant, covering a variety of finance duties noted below. The business use Sage Line 50 and experience of this is essential and so will experience of working within an SME previously. Albeit this role is within the finance team, due to the size of the business, there is an expectation of supporting other departments during time of staff sickness / holidays etc!
Duties Will Include
- Purchase and Sales Ledger
- Data entry into Sage 50
- Processing a small monthly payroll
- Supporting with VAT queries
- Raising, sharing & logging invoices with customers & suppliers
- Resolving any queries raised from customers or suppliers
- Processing Expenses, Rebates and Payments
- Assisting the MD & external accountants with their month / year-end duties
- Answering telephones & emails and dealing with queries
- Supporting other departments during times of staff leave / sickness etc
- Chasing payments over the phone and via email
