Senior Design Engineer required for my client based in Smethwick, West Midlands, who work within the aluminium curtain walling and glazing systems industry of engineering.
Due to high commerical success and a full order book moving forward, my client are looking to expand its in house design resources and team.
Senior Design Engineer Job Overview* Produce project specific 2D designs using AutoCAD software in accordance with project specification and tender quotation. * Designs to include Elevations, Frame Schedules, large scale interface details.* Co-ordinate project drawings with the projects design team, achieve Client approval / sign off.* Liaise and co-ordinate drawings with our Structural Engineer for checking. * Produce fabrication schedules and material summaries for ordering.* Identify changes and raise any mid project Variations.* Attend Design Co-ordination meetings when required including occasional site surveys. * Liaise closely with other departments within the company.* Work in line with project programme. * Coordinate fabricated materials with despatch.
Senior Design Engineer Job Requirements* Must be competent in the use of Microsoft office, Word, Excel & AutoCAD 2D software.* Have experience designing and scheduling Curtain Wall, Windows & Doors, preferably using Kawneer or Metal Technologies range of systems. Experience in other system suppliers would be considered.* Not essential but experience using LogiKal based software would be beneficial. * Experience using Revit or similar modelling software is not essential but would be advantageous.* Based within a commutable distance of Smethwick, West Midlands.* Full UK driving licence.
Senior Design Engineer Salary & Benefits* Salary - £55,000 - dependent upon experience, skills and qualifications.* Full time position - Monday to Friday.* Holiday package allowance.* Company pension scheme.* Other company benefits to be discussed.
