Major Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced Internal Business Development Manager to work for a leading Manufacturing company based in Smethwick.

Hours of Work Monday - Friday 08:30am - 5:00pm

Rate of pay £32-£37k depending on experience

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the business development role is positioned within their OEM division focussed on the UK Engineering sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing existing accounts and generating new business.

Duties and tasks will include:

  • Pro-active Sales generation.
  • Building of relationships with customer contacts.
  • Managing existing accounts.
  • Achievement of revenue and margin targets.
  • The recording/planning of all calls within the company CRM system.
  • Market research.
  • Managing any administrative/inbound sales tasks as required.

Candidates welcome to apply for the role will have the following:

  • Strong B2B sales experience with proven experience in a similar role.
  • Industry experience is ideal.
  • History of working with CRM tools.
  • Experience of making proactive sales calls is preferred.
  • Excellent telephone manner and communicator.
  • Ability to build lasting long-term relationships.
  • Highly self-motivated and strong work ethic.
  • Well balanced & meticulous attention to detail.
