In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge machinery, including the Hwacheon Hi-Tech 200B MC turn-mill CNC lathe and the Proturn SLX 355 CNC lathe. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating bespoke solutions that meet their clients' specific needs.

Our client operates in the automotive, acoustic, audio, and construction markets. They have an established customer base, exporting goods all around the world. A business producing quality products for the UK and exporting globally. Operating as a manufacturing business that works within multiple sectors like; Architectural, Construction, Steel, and Automotive.

What we need from you as a CNC Machinist:

  • Strong experience in CNC lathe programming, setting, and operating
  • Knowledge of machining processes, materials, and quality standards
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to learn

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Fanuc and ProtoTRAK control systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset


This role will involve you reporting to the CNC Machine Manager. Duties to include:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC lathes to manufacture high-pressure regulators and valves
  • Perform CNC machining of subcontract-turned parts as needed
  • Engage in CNC milling and assist with toolmaking, jigs, and fixtures when required
  • Collaborate with the CNC Machining Manager and other team members on various manufacturing tasks
  • Ensure quality control throughout the machining process, adhering to technical drawings and specifications
  • Engage in related duties associated with the manufacture of bespoke products


Salary/hours:£31,200 - £35,360 per year depending on qualifications and experience. Working 40 hours per week on days, Monday to Thursday 7.30am 4.30pm and Friday 7.30am 2pm.
