As the Sustainability Advisor, you will work closely with internal stakeholders to implement projects focused on reducing the company’s carbon footprint and achieving NetZero. Additionally, you will liaise with suppliers and customers to understand their carbon footprints and collaborate to reduce emissions throughout the supply chain.Sustainability Advisor Job Description
  • Advise on sustainability matters and respond to queries from stakeholders.
  • Analyse sustainability data, ensuring compliance and identifying improvement areas.
  • Lead Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) reporting and compliance.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define and implement sustainability strategies and carbon reduction plans.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to improve product and process sustainability.
  • Support the Environmental Management System (EMS), ensuring ISO14001 and BES6001 compliance.
  • Lead sustainability accreditation efforts and manage ongoing compliance.
  • Work with Procurement to enhance sustainability in the supply chain.
  • Educate employees, prepare reports, and promote continuous improvement.
Sustainability AdvisorExperience/ Qualifications
  • Degree in environmental science, economics, or related field (master’s preferred).
  • Experience in sustainability practices, regulatory compliance, and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing or construction sectors (steel industry a plus).
  • Strong communication, project management, and analytical skills.
