Flourish Education are recruiting for a Year 2 Teacher to join a Primary School in Smethwick on a long-term basis. The school is rated ‘Good' and is a 2-form entry, faith school, who value providing a welcoming, supportive and challenging learning environment to motivate the school community to succeed.

Our client is seeking a Year 2 class teacher to join the staff team, on a full-time, long-term basis from October, until the end of the academic year with potential to go permanent. This role would be a full class teaching position, beginning form January 2025 responsibilities would include planning, preparing resources and marking, as well as monitoring and assessing pupils progress and reporting back to pupils, staff and parents.

This Year 2 Teacher role is a full-time, long-term position starting in September and continuing until the end of the academic year but is potentially permanent.

Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply, the school are happy to support induction.

As a Year 2 Teacher, you will:

  • Take full class responsibilities, including planning, marking, and assessments.
  • Deliver the National Curriculum to Key Stage 1 (KS1) pupils.
  • Foster a positive learning environment with excellent behaviour management.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support pupil progress.
  • Ensure lessons are engaging and meet the needs of all learners.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status.
  • Proven experience working as a Primary Teacher, ideally in Key Stage 1.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills.
  • Experience as a Class Teacher in a Primary School setting.
