Recruit4Staff is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for a leading food production company in Smethwick.
The position offers a competitive salary of up to £40,000 per annum and requires proven experience in a maintenance role.
The role involves supporting maintenance duties, planned inspections, and equipment breakdown needs, with no shift work involved.
Candidates should be multi-skilled, ideally with a background in food production and experience with steam generators, compressed air, and electrics.
This is a permanent position with 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, operating Monday to Friday between 7am and 6pm.

For the successful Maintenance Engineer our client is offering;

Competitive salary paying up to £40,000 per annum
The company operate between 7am-6pm and you will be working a flexible 8 hour shift Monday to Friday depending on business needs
Permanent position
20 days holiday + bank holidays
Days only, no shift work involved

The Role of the Maintenance Engineer:

Support and carry out any maintenance duties on site as directed
To support site planned maintenance inspections
To support all reasonable repairs on site equipment
Support any equipment breakdown needs in to reduce production down time
Carry out any other duties as and when required
Responsible for weekly strip and clean-down of production equipment
Planned preventative maintenance
Liaising with the Production team

What our client is looking for in a Maintenance Engineer;

Must be Multi-skilled - ESSENTIAL
Ideally coming from a Food Production background - Highly advantageous
Proven experience of working with Steam Generators, Compressed Air and Electrics
Proven experience within a Maintenance role
Ideally hold mechanical or electrical qualifications
