  • Design Functional Solutions: Solve engineering problems with innovative, practical designs.
  • Full Design Lifecycle: Manage designs from initial concept and detailed specification through to the final working packs for the build team.
  • Technical Drawings: Create accurate part and assembly drawings for manufacturing.
  • Compliance: Ensure all designs meet relevant industry standards, including UKCA, CE, and Machinery Directive requirements.
  • Mechanical Specifications: Develop comprehensive mechanical specifications for production equipment.
Trainee Mechanical Design Engineer Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Practical experience or strong knowledge of mechanical engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficient in 2D and 3D CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
  • Understanding of traditional manufacturing processes like milling, turning, grinding, and fabrication.
  • NVQ/HND/BTEC or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
