Monday - Friday Opportunity for a Lettings Coordinator role for leading Independent Agency in Birmingham.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join this forward thinking firm.

The Job:

The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating and coordinating tenancy renewals for their tenancies, supporting the co-ordination of upcoming tenancies, managing Rent & Legal protection policies, and assisting with tenancy deposit returns for our Let Only & Rent Collection tenancies

Key Responsibilities:

Tenancy Renewals Management:

  • Negotiate and manage tenancy renewals.
  • Coordinate communication between tenants and landlords to ensure successful renewals.
  • Draft and oversee the signing of tenancy renewal agreements.

Tenancy Co-ordination Support:

  • Assist the Tenancy Co-ordination team with tasks related to upcoming tenancies.
  • Complete Right to Rent checks with prospective tenants.
  • Chase outstanding documentation from tenants and landlords.
  • Draft and prepare tenancy agreements.

RLP Policy Management:

  • Manage the setup and renewals of Rent & Legal protection policies.
  • Ensure all policies are up-to-date and compliant with regulations.

Tenancy Deposit Administration:

  • Support the team in administering tenancy deposit returns for Rent Collection and Let Only tenancies.
  • Liaise with Landlords to accurately understand and then instruct deposit returns (including any deductions necessary).

The Candidate:

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the property or lettings industry would be advantageous however full training would be provided.
  • Understanding of tenancy laws and regulations, particularly Right to Rent checks would be preferable however full training would be provided.
  • Familiarity with Rent & Legal protection policies would be preferable however again full training would be provided.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, tenants, and landlords.
  • Customer-focused approach with a professional and approachable demeanour.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to mediate between tenants and landlords.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with property management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of the local property market.
