Finance Assistant

I'm delighted to be partnering with our well established client in Smethwick, to recruit a Finance Assistant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented finance professional seeking to develop their career in a dynamic and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the processing of invoices, payments, and bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end and year-end reporting.
  • Prepare and process expense claims, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial queries.
  • Support the finance team in payroll administration and VAT returns.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial tasks as required.
Skills & Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a finance or accounts role is preferred.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
