Are you a passionate and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity to support young learners? We are seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join Applebough Education and work alongside our client who is a Ofsted 'Good’ primary school in Smethwick.
About the Role:As a Year 1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children’s learning, focusing on early literacy and phonics development. The successful candidate will have experience delivering Read Write Inc. Phonics and working closely with the class teacher to ensure all pupils make progress.
Key Responsibilities:? Supporting the Year 1 class teacher with planning and delivering engaging lessons? Leading small groups and one-to-one interventions to enhance phonics and literacy skills? Using Read Write Inc. to deliver structured phonics sessions? Supporting children with varying needs, ensuring inclusive learning for all? Helping to create a positive and stimulating classroom environment? Assisting with classroom management
Requirements:?? Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)?? Experience working with Year 1 pupils in a school setting?? Phonics expertise, particularly in Read Write Inc.?? A passion for supporting children’s development and learning?? Strong communication and teamwork skills?? An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies
