Empowering learning are recruiting for an SEN EYFS teaching assistant to work on a 1:1 basis in a school in the Smethwick area. The school is a small one form entry and is rated "Good" in their most recent Ofsted and has a strong team structure in place.

The role would be starting in September and would be working on a temp to perm basis and would be a great opportunity for experienced and new teaching assistants.

Responsibilities of this SEN teaching assistant

  • Enthusiastic and engaging, making learning fun and valuable for the children.
  • Resilient and adaptable with their approach to ensure that children are supported appropriately and professionally.
  • To work on a 1:1 basis with a academically challenging child in reception
  • SEND experience/knowledge is desirable.

To apply for this role you will need:

  • a DBS dated within the last 12 months or on the update service
  • a minimum level 2 qualification either in health and social care or a teaching assistant
  • Experience of working in EYFS
  • Experience with a child with challenging behaviour
