The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to access the curriculum and reach their full potential. As an integral member of our staff, you will work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN, adapting activities to suit their individual learning styles and abilities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to differentiate and modify curriculum materials as needed.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, promoting a sense of belonging for all students.
  • Monitor and record progress, providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Support students during therapy sessions and other interventions.
  • Assist with personal care and mobility needs as required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a 2:2 degree or a Level 3 in supporting children.
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with diverse needs.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures related to SEN.
  • First Aid and Safeguarding training (desirable).
