The role: We are seeking Band 6 Neonatal Sister/Charge Nurses to join the team. In this leadership role, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality nursing care to neonates, including those who are premature or critically ill. You will support and mentor junior staff, help run the neonatal unit and ensuring the best outcomes for all neonatal patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the nursing team in the Neonatal Unit
- Provide expert clinical care to neonates, including advanced assessments and interventions
- Support and educate parents and families, providing emotional and practical support
- Collaborate with doctors, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and standards
- Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
- QIS course
- Experience in neonatal nursing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and management abilities
- Compassionate, patient-focused, and dedicated to providing the highest standard of care
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
