Transport Planner

Permanent/full-time

Location - Alvechurch/Hybrid

Salary - £32,000 - £38,000

Due to ongoing growth, our cliuent is looking to recruit a highly organised, proactive and experienced Transport Planner.

The Role

Our clioenmt has a fleet of 20 vehicle transporters and operations across the UK. The role is to ensure the seamless delivery of vehicles to customers. In this role, you will play a crucial part in coordinating transport operations, keeping costs under control while meeting customer requirements and maintaining compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and allocate vehicle movements efficiently to meet delivery deadlines. 
Liaise with drivers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Monitor real-time vehicle performance and address issues promptly.
Utilize transport management systems (TMS) and other tools to optimize routes and reduce costs.
Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and environmental standards.
Communicate effectively with customers about delivery schedules and updates.
Analyse performance data and create reports to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements 

At least 5 years in transport planning or logistics.
Strong understanding of route planning and vehicle optimization.
Familiarity with transport management systems and fleet tracking software.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Knowledge of relevant transport legislation and compliance requirements.
Full UK Driving Licence
