Join our client’s team as a Warehouse Operative for a global leading parts distributor and manufacturer. This role involves handling products from delivery to dispatch in Birmingham, managing inventory, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring products meet quality standards.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Preparation and Dispatch:
    • Prepare orders by processing requests, pulling materials, and packing boxes.
    • Ensure products match the picking list in terms of quantity and specifications.
    • Report any non-conforming goods.
  • Inventory and Safety:
    • Conduct regular stock checks to maintain inventory accuracy.
    • Keep the warehouse tidy by organising shelves and pallet areas.
    • Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
  • Product Handling:
    • Move goods around the warehouse efficiently, handling multiple quantities of small packages in a fast-paced environment.
    • Occasionally cover driving duties if required.
    • Update inventory system with new or remanufactured parts.
  • Finishing Tasks:
    • Track goods received in the Finish Room.
    • Ensure finished products are stored correctly.
    • Engrave, label, pack, and clean units to high standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic or willing to learn MS Excel.
  • Understanding of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) legislation.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple quantities of small packages.
  • Experience in conducting stock checks and working as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude towards work and alignment with company goals.
  • If applying for a driving role, experience in vehicle maintenance and a valid driving license are advantageous.
