Day-to-Day of the Role:

  • Collaborate with the development team to analyse requirements and design efficient, scalable solutions using PHP.
  • Develop and maintain web applications using the CakePHP framework.
  • Write clean, well-structured, and well-documented code to ensure maintainability and readability.
  • Troubleshoot and debug existing applications to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Implement new features and functionality based on project specifications and user requirements.
  • Participate in code reviews to improve code quality and receive constructive feedback.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding and practical experience with the CakePHP framework (or equivalent, e.g., Laravel).
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following coding standards and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with databases, particularly MySQL.
  • Solid understanding of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
  • Creative and proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to think outside the box.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in coding and documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate within a team environment.
  • A strong desire to learn and stay updated with the latest advancements in PHP development.
