Are you a passionate gardener with leadership experience? We are seeking a Head Gardener to lead and manage a dedicated team of 5 gardeners in a prestigious residential development. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces while guiding and inspiring a team of gardening professionals.

Hours: Monday to Friday / 8am to 4pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of 5 gardeners, ensuring high standards of horticultural care and safety.
  • Perform hands-on gardening tasks including planting, weeding, pruning, and lawn maintenance.
  • Oversee the maintenance of flower beds, shrubs, trees, and other landscaped areas.
  • Develop and implement seasonal planting schemes and designs, enhancing the aesthetics of the residential community.
  • Manage day-to-day gardening operations, ensuring the grounds are kept in pristine condition at all times.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the gardens, reporting on progress, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure equipment and tools are maintained and managed efficiently.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members to enhance their skills and ensure ongoing professional development.
  • Work closely with the development’s management team to meet resident and client needs.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a gardening role, ideally within a residential or commercial setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Hands-on experience with a wide range of gardening techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Excellent plant knowledge, including seasonal care and design principles.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of work and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to liaise with residents and management.
  • A proactive, hardworking attitude with the ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic environment.
