QA Engineer

We are looking for a talented QA Engineer to join one of the UK's fastest growing and most exciting ecommerce companies. Build new products, engineer new solutions, create systems and platforms that provide innovative products used around the home.

About You:

You are a QA Engineer with back end PHP / LAMP stack, code reviews, unit testing and system testing experience. You will collaborate with developers and stakeholders to ensure that systems will meet requirements, adhere to best practice and deliver exceptional user experiences.

You like people and working with them day to day! You enjoy team collaboration when required and knuckling down to write quality, testable, reusable code when that's the task at hand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and sure the testability of new features
  • Conduct code reviews to main code standards and identify bugs
  • Develop and execute test plans for functionality and performance
  • Write and maintain unit tests to automate validation
  • Identify, document and track bugs
  • Implement QA processes to ensure consistent delivery of high quality code

Experience Required

  • Strong knowledge of PHP including frameworks such as CakePHP and or Laravel
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks such as PHPUnit and developer understanding of automated testing methodologies
  • Proficient in code reviews with a keen eye on errors, inefficiencies and vulnerabilities
  • Solid understanding of version control systems like Git
  • Familiarity of MySQL and database validation
  • Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript for cross-functional testing
