Job Description:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Temporary Accountant specialising in revenue recognition and contract review. This role will provide valuable insight and hands-on experience in accounting operations and processes. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, with a significant emphasis on revenue recognition and contract review.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage daily revenue transactions, ensuring adherence to established accounting guidelines and principles.
  2. Scrutinise sales contracts to guarantee revenue recognition in alignment with the company's policy and UK GAAP.
  3. Generate comprehensive revenue reports and account analysis and collaborate in internal and external audits.
  4. Maintain an in-depth understanding of the financial reporting and general leger structure.
  5. Provide accounting support to team members as required, including project-based work.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field is required.
  2. ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualification or ongoing will be highly regarded.
  3. Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in revenue recognition and contract review.
  4. Profound understanding of FRS 15/102 Standards and their application.
  5. Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  6. Familiarity with accounting software and databases.
  7. Ability to perform tasks independently and as part of a team.
  8. Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
