We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Management Accountant qualified in ACCA, ACA, or CIMA to join our established finance team. This is a key role where you will work closely with senior management, providing financial insights to influence decision-making and improve business performance. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesReporting and Analysis:- Prepare timely and accurate management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Deliver insightful variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
- Create financial dashboards and metrics to aid operational decision-making.
- Lead on the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Monitor and report on key financial trends, ensuring the business is aligned with strategic objectives.
- Manage all aspects of the month-end close process, including reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for operational efficiency.
- Analyse profitability by product, service line, or project.
- Ensure financial compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.
- Collaborate with external auditors and assist with statutory reporting requirements.
- Optimise and maintain financial systems (e.g., ERP software) to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Support automation projects and process enhancements to improve reporting speed and accuracy.
- Fully qualified in ACCA, ACA, or CIMA with a strong track record of professional growth.
- Extensive experience in management accounts, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Familiarity with ERP and accounting systems
- Experience working within proffesional services
- Strong Excel skills, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Working knowledge of preparing financial models.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret financial data and communicate key insights.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to work at a strategic level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
- High attention to detail and time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
