We are looking for a proactive and commercially minded Management Accountant qualified in ACCA, ACA, or CIMA to join our established finance team. This is a key role where you will work closely with senior management, providing financial insights to influence decision-making and improve business performance. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesReporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare timely and accurate management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Deliver insightful variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
  • Create financial dashboards and metrics to aid operational decision-making.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Lead on the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
  • Monitor and report on key financial trends, ensuring the business is aligned with strategic objectives.
Month-End Close:
  • Manage all aspects of the month-end close process, including reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments.
Cost and Performance Management:
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for operational efficiency.
  • Analyse profitability by product, service line, or project.
Compliance and Standards:
  • Ensure financial compliance with local regulations and corporate policies.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and assist with statutory reporting requirements.
System and Process Improvement:
  • Optimise and maintain financial systems (e.g., ERP software) to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support automation projects and process enhancements to improve reporting speed and accuracy.
Skills and RequirementsQualifications:
  • Fully qualified in ACCA, ACA, or CIMA with a strong track record of professional growth.
Experience:
  • Extensive experience in management accounts, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with ERP and accounting systems
  • Experience working within proffesional services
Technical Skills:
  • Strong Excel skills, including advanced functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
  • Working knowledge of preparing financial models.
Core Competencies:
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret financial data and communicate key insights.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to work at a strategic level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • High attention to detail and time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
