Gleeson Recruitment Group are recruiting a Financial Controller position with a dynamic, well-known business in Solihull. As Financial Controller, you will play a key role in shaping the company's financial performance, ensuring robust financial controls, and providing strategic insight to senior leadership. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys driving process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial operations, including management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

  • Implement and maintain strong financial controls and compliance procedures.

  • Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.

  • Provide commercial and strategic support to the senior leadership team.

  • Manage cash flow, financial planning, and risk management.

  • Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and external stakeholders.

  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements to support business growth.

Key Requirements

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

  • Proven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role.

  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to provide financial insights that drive business success.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting and compliance.

  • Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills.

  • Degree in accountancy, economics or business.
