Financial Controller
Location: Solihull
Salary: Up to £65,000 subject to experience
T2M Resourcing is recruiting a Financial Controller on behalf of a successful and growing services company. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic organisation where you will manage a small finance team and be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team. You’ll be responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, including management accounts, P&L, balance sheets, and transactional finance for a business within the group.
Key Responsibilities as Financial Controller:
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership across the business, providing financial insights and advice on business decisions to drive growth and profitability
- Prepare and deliver management accounts and budgets within set deadlines
- Monitor, forecast, and manage cashflow effectively
- Assist the installations team with submission of payment applications in accordance with contract deadlines
- Record financial transactions across various projects, departments, and the company
- Prepare accurate financial statements
- Handle overall financial administration duties
- Manage a small transactional finance team
- Oversee and manage the Credit Control function
- Prepare and submit CIS returns
- Improve and manage financial systems, processes, and policies
- Analyse financial performance and provide long-term forecasts
- Lead the annual budgeting process
- Support financial analysis and integration of acquisitions and other strategic projects
To be successful in the role of Financial Controller you will demonstrate the following skills and attributes;
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent)
- Experience working at a senior finance level within the Construction industry
- Strong knowledge of Construction Accounting Principles, including CIS
- Proven experience managing and leading a finance team
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities
- Sound commercial knowledge and business acumen
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
