Trinity House Group are recruiting exclusivley with a market-leading, highly reputable brand with a strong presence across the Midlands is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their high-performing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business known for its innovation, stability, and commitment to excellence.

Role Overview:Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will play a key role in the financial reporting and compliance function, ensuring the integrity of financial statements and contributing to key financial processes. This role is ideal for a technically strong accountant looking to develop within a fast-paced, commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review statutory accounts in compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP.

  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end reporting.

  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting policies.

  • Assist with tax compliance, including VAT and corporate tax submissions.

  • Liaise with external auditors, ensuring a smooth audit process.

  • Support the Finance Manager with balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis.

  • Provide financial insights to key stakeholders to support business decision-making.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes and reporting.

Key Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or finalist.

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, ideally with IFRS/UK GAAP experience.

  • Experience in a similar role within a large, complex organisation or from a top-tier accountancy firm.

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • A proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach.
