Trinity House Group are working exclusively with a highly acquisitive PE backed who provide cybersecurity, communications, and connectivity that grows with their customers’ businesses. They’re looking for a Senior Management Accountant to join this dynamic team where they will be responsible for financial reporting, business partnering, and supporting the development of the Management Accounts team. Key responsibilities include integrating acquisitions, reviewing monthly results, and working to tight deadlines—requiring strong organisational and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Finance Manager, Management Accountants, and wider finance team to ensure accurate month-end preparation and reporting for acquisitions.
- Manage a team of three (Management Accountants and Assistant Management Accountants).
- Own all ledgers to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Document and improve accounting processes and procedures.
- Conduct variance analysis across the P&L, proactively investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Business Partner across departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and lead the implementation of agreed changes.
- Assist with statutory and financial accounting processes.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end activities in line with the closing timetable.
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, stock reconciliations, and fixed asset reporting.
- Support year-end processes, including external audit documentation.
About You
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
- Previous experience in Management Accounts or a similar role is essential.
- Experience with acquisitions and Sage 200 is beneficial but not required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF Statements).
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly organised, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive problem solver with a strong work ethic and ambition to grow with the business.
- Reliable and approachable, fostering a supportive team environment.
