Client LeadHere's what you'll be doing

npower Business Solutions (nBS) is the E.ON UK Industrial and Commercial (I&C) pillar and a market leader in the B2B energy retail sector. I&C is a £7 billion revenue business serving c20,000 customers and approximately 200,000 meter points.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Client Lead to join our team. For this role you will sell standard and innovative products to meet client requirements, to support cost reduction, de-carbonisation and sustainability. Working with public buying organisations, councils and end users, you will build relationships and grow their portfolios. This is a home-based role with nationwide travel (car allowance provided) and a requirement to work at the Solihull office on an ad-hoc basis.

Key responsibilities

  • Target, prospect, influence, negotiate and deliver new business and/or renewal/growth opportunities within the market environment delivering bespoke contract/product structures across a portfolio of sophisticated clients.
  • Utilise extensive knowledge of the energy market and client requirements to feed into I&C’s product development process to develop marketable and value adding products.
  • Apply industry knowledge and expertise to develop a wide range of high-level external networks that will build and enhance I&C’s reputation.
  • Oversee the resolution of complex issues stemming from the implementation of contractual terms, customer breaches and evolving circumstances.
  • Lead corporate account planning process within assigned sector to deliver business plan targets across I&C’s product suite.
  • Support other members of the team in development and structuring of deals as appropriate to utilise senior level knowledge.
What we need from you
  • Experience of managing multi-site portfolios.
  • Sales experience within a B2B (I&C) setting.
  • Strong commercial and technical proficiency, with experience gained within the energy industry (or comparable sector).
  • Significant experience of working in a commercially focussed and complex business environment, with the ability to demonstrate strong economic, market and financial skills.
  • Substantial experience in targeting, negotiating, and executing significant and complex commercial agreements, with the ability to identify and maximise commercial opportunities.
  • A full UK driving license.
