Commercial Pricing Analyst/Business Partner, Permanent - Solihull/Hybrid

Purpose of the JobThe Commercial Pricing Analyst/Business Partner is a key operational role that bridges pricing analysis with other business functions. This position focuses on providing in-depth analysis and strategic guidance to support decision-making and drive business performance. The role involves close collaboration with various teams to align pricing strategies with overall business goals, fostering growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities-
Pricing Analysis and Reporting:
- Conduct thorough analysis of revenue, costs, and profitability to identify trends and risks.
- Present analytical findings and performance metrics to stakeholders, offering insights and recommendations.
- Investigate variances and provide detailed explanations for performance against targets.

Performance Monitoring:
- Track key performance indicators and metrics to assess business performance.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses and scenario modelling to support new initiatives.
- Offer recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and revenue.

Strategic Planning and Support:
- Collaborate on evaluating pricing strategies, product profitability, and customer profitability.
- Assess business opportunities and partnerships for feasibility.
- Provide insights, business case analysis, and risk assessments to support strategic decisions.
- Model pricing changes and provide site-level recommendations.

Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Build strong relationships with various stakeholders.
- Support business leaders with strategic advice and insights.
- Act as a trusted advisor on pricing to drive business growth.
- Uphold the company's integrity and reputation.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings.
- Assist in other business areas as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality, especially regarding sensitive data.
- Continuously develop skills and maintain professional standards.
- Will have worked in a similar role previously and have experience in pricing, modelling, analysis, business partnering, or related operational roles.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in scenario analysis and business case evaluation.
- Advanced Excel skills are essential; knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
- Ability to align pricing strategies with broader business goals.
- Excellent communication skills to present complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and strategic decision-making abilities.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in a fast paced environment including hospitality or retail is a plus.
