AnalystHere's what you'll be doing

npower Business Solutions (nBS) is the E.ON UK Industrial and Commercial (I&C) pillar and a market leader in the B2B energy retail sector. I&C is a £7 billion revenue business serving c20,000 customers and approximately 200,000 meter points.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Analyst to join our Industry Data Management team on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis. For this role you will investigate and respond to a broad range of complex customer queries, liaising with other parties as necessary, to deliver an appropriate, acceptable resolution for the customer. This role offers the hybrid working approach, where you will be working in the office (Solihull) 2 days per week.

Key responsibilities

  • Gather customer data and gains insight into customer needs.
  • Amend data errors and process exceptions and provide feedback to front-line teams to ensure data quality is improved and maintained.
  • Participate in reviewing and adapting processes in the light of changes and adopt new work approaches.
  • Complete a broad range of complex transactions across the functional area, to ensure accurate processing of information.
  • Provide regular feedback on work in progress and decisions on workload priorities to ensure workloads are appropriately managed and performance standards met.
  • Maintain awareness of industry and company policy which influence local procedures, highlight local issues, and suggest possible improvements to local working practices to ensure tasks are appropriately handled, right first time.
  • Investigate process failures, whereby data flows have failed to load into the relevant systems, updating all important information.
What we need from you
  • Good analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to evaluate data to identify discrepancies.
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Prioritisation and organisation skills.
  • Customer service ethic.
  • Good IT application skills including Excel.

It would be great if you had

  • Knowledge of the UK energy industry, including metering and the retail environment.
  • An understanding of industry data flows for Power & Gas.
