Personal Injury Paralegal

GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a hugely successful legal firm located in the West Midlands. We are recruiting on their behalf for an experienced Personal Injury Paralegal to join their team on a full time, permanent basis, located across their Birmingham-based offices. A hybrid-working approach is also available for the right candidate.

The position will be working 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday. They are offering a highly competitive salary of up to £40k.

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience of managing a varied caseload, including some fast track and multi-track RTA, EL, PL and clinical negligence matters from initial instruction to final completion and be a very organised individual with the ability to build effective client relationships.

Personal Injury Paralegal main duties:

• Manage a Personal Injury caseload from inception to trial, including liability, causation, and quantum investigations.
• Research medical issues and apply these to the law in the best interest of the client, whilst proactively identifying and addressing rehabilitation needs.
• Adhere to procedural and funding guidelines and limits.
• Contribute to the departments and firms’ efforts to identify and develop new sources of referral, maintaining and developing links with existing introducers of work and raising your own, the departments and the firm’s profile.

Personal Injury Paralegal required skills and experience:

• Up-to-date knowledge of relevant procedures and applicable law
• Ability to manage own caseload of mixed personal injury matters
• Experience in dealing with complex/high value claims for claimants
• Strong negotiation skills
• Good advocacy skills
• The ability to manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to ensure that deadlines are met.
• Excellent client relationship skills.
• Accurate written and verbal communication skills.
