Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pastry Chef to lead production at our wholesale patisserie in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in producing high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods in large volumes while maintaining consistency, taste, and presentation. This role focuses on creating products for multiple clients, including cafes, restaurants, and retail outlets, ensuring timely delivery and top-notch quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Produce a wide range of pastries, cakes, and baked goods at scale while maintaining high standards of quality.

Develop and refine recipes to ensure consistency and efficiency in production.

Manage large-scale production while adhering to deadlines for client orders.

Oversee inventory management, ensuring sufficient stock of ingredients and supplies for continuous production.

Ensure all kitchen operations meet health and safety regulations.

Train and supervise kitchen staff to maintain production efficiency and consistency in quality.

Collaborate with clients to customize products according to their needs and preferences.

Implement and improve production processes to optimize workflow and reduce waste.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and storage areas.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a wholesale or high-volume environment.

Strong understanding of baking processes, pastry techniques, and large-scale production methods.

Ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines efficiently.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Experience working with commercial bakery equipment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.

Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
