An automotive component manufacturer with multiple OEM customers and in a period of growth require a Materials and Chemistry Principal Engineer to oversee the chemistry employed in all engineering and industrial applications. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge and understanding of adhesives and polyurethanes. Commutable from: Redditch, Coventry, Birmingham, Warwick, Stratford upon Avon, Leamington Spa, Worcester, Kidderminster, StourbridgePackage: £60,000 - £80,000 p.a. depending on experience Suitable for: Materials Engineer, Principal Engineer, Chemistry Engineer, Chemical Engineer The Role Reporting into the Engineering Manager you will have the following duties:-Develop a good understanding of all the chemical processes withing their automotive products.-Analysing and documenting all the chemical applications in their automotive products (polymers, adhesives and polyurethanes).-Support the analysis of failures within the automotive product.-Work between the automotive suppliers and the Manufacturing Engineers to ensure the needs of materials and chemicals used in their products are properly understood and controlled.
