Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Highways Management Engineer to join our clients team, supporting local authority highway operations. This hybrid role involves a mix of site-based work and office-based collaboration, providing flexibility while ensuring efficient project delivery.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing highway activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining positive communication with council members, the public, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage highway operations in accordance with local authority policies.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on-site.
  • Act as a key point of contact for council members, the public, and stakeholders, handling sensitive communications effectively.
  • Prepare reports, maintain records, and ensure accurate documentation of highway activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to achieve project goals.
  • Conduct inspections and provide technical advice on highway projects.
Essential Requirements:
