Our client is a successful manufacturer within the automotives industry based in Solihull. They have a presence within the industry for nearly 3 decades and work with some of the best known car brands in the business. This is a Full time, temporary to permanent position. Day Shift, Monday - Friday.

Only candidates who can work from technical drawings and have operated a laser machine previously will be considered for this role.

They are now looking for a CNC Laser Setter / Operator to join their team. The pay rate is £13-£14/hr however, for exceptional candidates consideration could be made for a higher rate for an outstanding level of experience. This would be strictly at the discretion of our client.

Candidate Profile (Please ensure you meet the criteria below) prior to applying

  • Proficient in operating a 4m x 2m laser cutter
  • Experienced in using Brake press and guillotines.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings and attention to detail.
  • Working as a member of the team.
  • Capable of prioritizing tasks and adapting to flexible working methods.
  • Experience operating an overhead crane is advantageous.
  • Holding a valid Counterbalance forklift truck license is beneficial.
  • Committed to maintaining a clean and tidy work area.
  • Ideally, 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Experienced in handling finished parts for safe transport to welding and other departments.
  • Willing to undertake additional workshop/manufacturing duties as needed.
  • Specific training can be provided.
  • Being Punctual is important.
Hours of Work
Monday - Friday 7.30am - 5pm
Once Permanent - The successful individual will be entitled to a quarterly performance based bonus scheme.
