Make a Difference in Children's Lives: Contact Supervisor (3 Months + Ongoing)

Do you have a passion for supporting children and families? Are you a reliable and caring individual who enjoys working in a team environment?

Solihull Council are seeking a dedicated Family Time Supervisor to join their team. In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring positive connections between looked-after children and their birth families. This role is on an initial 3 month contract with the potential for extension based on performance and funding. And with the possibility of a permanent role further down the line as well.

Pay: 15.70 Ltd an hour

Location: Chelumunds Place (Solihull)

Hours: Full-Time, Mon-Fri, Core Hours 09:30-5:30

What you'll do:

  • Coordinate and supervise family time between children and their families at designated contact centers and community settings.
  • Create detailed observations and reports on your interactions with children and families.
  • Liaise with social workers and escalate any concerns you may have about a child's well-being.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive environment for children and families during these visits.

What you'll bring:

  • A valid driver's license with access to a car for transporting children to and from family time.
  • A relevant qualification, such as NVQ Level 2 in Working with Children and Young People (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience working with children, young people, or families in a social care, educational, or voluntary setting.
  • A strong understanding of child development and the needs of children in care.
  • Excellent written communication skills to document observations and reports.
  • A commitment to safeguarding children and promoting their well-being.
  • A team player with a caring and reliable personality.
